Campus Visits FAQ's

How do I schedule a visit?
We encourage you to experience Candler firsthand by visiting Emory's picturesque campus in Atlanta, Georgia. You can meet members of our faculty, attend a class, worship in Cannon Chapel, share in lunch conversation with current students, and speak with an Admissions Advisor. Visits can be arranged by visiting our visitor’s link on our website or by calling 404.727.6326.

When should I visit?
To get a complete experience of Candler during the semester, you are encouraged to visit on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday while classes are in session. Visits begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until 1:00-2:00 p.m., depending on visitor preferences.

There are several people from my college/university/church who would like to come visit campus. Does Candler arrange group visits?
Yes. Candler would be more than happy to arrange for groups of students from colleges, universities, or churches to come visit campus together. Please contact Brad Schweers, campus visit coordinator, at bradford.schweers@emory.edu or 404.727.6326 to arrange a group visit.

Are campus visits offered during the summer?
Yes. We offer abbreviated campus visits during the summer, which include a meeting with an Admissions Advisor, a campus tour, and a summer class (schedule permitting).

Are there any special visit days for prospective students?
Yes. We have two visit days for admitted MDiv applicants and one day for admitted MTS applicants. The two dates for Candler Campus Days for Admitted MDiv Applicants in 2008 are Thursday, March 27 or Friday, April 4, 2008. The Candler Campus Day for Admitted MTS Applicants is Wednesday, February 20, 2008. For those coming from outside Atlanta, Candler will provide overnight accommodations on the evening prior to these events. We hope you will plan to join us! Check the following Candler Campus Days link for further details.
