Campus Visits FAQ's

How do I schedule a visit?
We encourage you to experience Candler firsthand by visiting Emory's picturesque campus in Atlanta, Georgia. You can meet members of our faculty, attend a class, worship in Cannon Chapel, share in lunch conversation with current students, and speak with an Admissions Advisor. Visits can be arranged by visiting our visitor’s link on our website or by calling 404.727.6326.

When should I visit?
To get a complete experience of Candler during the semester, you are encouraged to visit on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday while classes are in session. Visits begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until 1:30-2:30 p.m., depending on visitor preferences.

There are several people from my college/university/church who would like to come visit campus. Does Candler arrange special group visits?
Yes. Candler would be more than happy to arrange for groups of students from colleges, universities, or churches to come visit campus together. Please contact Brad Schweers, campus visit coordinator or call 404.727.6326 to arrange a group visit.

Are campus visits offered during the summer or winter?
Yes. We offer abbreviated campus visits during the summer (June-August) and winter (December and January), which include a meeting with an Admissions Advisor and a campus tour.

Are there any special visit days for prospective students?
Yes. Every Fall and Spring Candler has special group visit days available. This Fall, we have two visit days for prospective students: our Fall Open House on Friday, October 17, 2008 and our Black Church Studies visit on Wednesday and Thursday, October 29 and 30. For more information on these visit opportunities, check out our Group Visits page for further details.
