Candler Writing Program

Welcome to the Writing Program at Candler School of Theology. Our mission is to help students learn to write more effectively in all of their many academic and pastoral roles. Here you will find Candler’s own writing aids and links to other resources as well.

In addition to lunchtime workshops and panel discussions with faculty, the Candler Writing Program offers individualized instruction in writing. Tutoring sessions involve conversation between the student and instructor about a paper’s structure, organization, and the writing process in general.

Students interested in tutoring sessions should contact Jennifer Thompson at jthomp8@emory.edu to make a half-hour appointment one week in advance. Tutoring sessions are held in the Office of Student Programming, CST 311.
