Candler Admissions Welcomes Three New Faces

It’s been a summer of change around the Candler Admissions office, and we want to introduce you to the three newest members of the team.

Rev. Richard Landers, Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment

Rich Landers is an ordained American Baptist minister who in the past 15 years has served churches in New York State, Chicago and Metro Atlanta.  As a pastor he has developed creative educational programs, including as a supervisor of recent seminary graduates in a Transition-into-Ministry residency program funded by the Lilly Endowment.  Born in Kansas, Rich grew up in Brazil in the cities of Belém and Rio de Janiero, where his parents were missionaries and theological educators.  Rich’s wife, Rev. Dr. Andrea C. White, teaches theology at Candler and they live with their two children in Decatur, GA.  Rich will travel to the Northeast and Midwest and work with students from those areas.

Rev. Debbie Fambro 01T, Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid

Debbie is a graduate of Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, having completed the Master of Theological Studies in 2001.  Prior to attending Candler, Debbie worked for nearly 10 years as a Senior Accountant.  Since graduating she has served in a number of churches including Smyrna First UMC, Decatur First UMC and most recently Trenholm Road UMC in Columbia, SC where she was Minister of Adult Education.  Debbie is a provisional Deacon in the North Georgia Conference of the UMC and enjoys reading and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.

Kerr C. Ramsay III 10T, Assistant Director of Admissions

Kerr RamsayKerr is a 2010 MDiv graduate from Candler.  A native North Carolinian, he spent nearly a decade in Virginia before coming to Candler in 2007.  His wonderful wife Palmer is a Georgia native, and the two of them live in Decatur.    Kerr is a lifelong Episcopalian, and has served as a Youth Minister for the past two years at a church in Atlanta.  In addition, he has spent the last seven years working in undergraduate admissions and is looking forward to working at Candler helping prospective students discern their calls to a variety of ministries.  Kerr will travel the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country and work with prospective students from those areas.
