Coming together in worship is a regular, intentional part of our faith formation and the core of our community at Candler. We are grounded in the Christian faith and shaped by the Wesleyan tradition of ecumenical openness, evangelical piety, and social concern. We practice what we preach among ourselves, forming real community by listening, bridging gaps and working through issues together.
Worship at Candler follows the natural rhythm of our daily lives, woven in and through the Christian year. One of the most colorful threads in the fabric of Candler is that we worship together in many different styles and Christian traditions, from Benedictine to Baptist, Anglican to Quaker, AME to UMC.
Scan a typical calendar of events at Candler and you will find a wide array of worship opportunities all through the week: Candler chapel services on Tuesdays and Thursdays; Mid-Day Eucharist each Friday; Evensong on Wednesdays, and morning and noonday prayer services most weekdays.
