Where can I purchase computers and computer supplies on campus?
The computer store offers discounted hardware from various vendors, educationally priced software and other computer supplies. It is located in the Emory Bookstore in Dobbs University Center. Their phone number is 404.727.6222.
What computers and software programs are recommended by Emory?
Emory has recommendations for student computer and printer purchases, off-campus connectivity, operating system requirements, and software. On-campus networking software known as Emory OnLine is available for free at the Computing Center in Cox Hall or the Emory Bookstore. At regular intervals throughout the year, software is updated and available at software.emory.edu/express.
Where can I get help with a computer question?
A Customer Support Center is available Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm to answer student questions about information technology and computing at Emory by calling 404-727-7777. Limited support is available after hours, on weekends and on holidays.
Where can I go for help with a computer virus?
Walk-in support service to scan and clean your computer and install the latest Emory supported anti-virus software is provided at The Clean Room, located on the 2nd floor of Cox Hall inside the Computing Center.
How do I get an email account?)
New students are given their accounts and Network ID during orientation sessions. This provides the student with access to several online services, particularly Learnlink, which is Emory's combined email and conferencing system that serves as a communication tool for both academic and extracurricular activities and Opus where students can register for classes, see their class schedule, drop/add classes, change their addresses, obtain grades, and access their financial accounts.

Wireless internet connectivity is available throughout the new classroom building and in most parts of Pitts Library. To connect, you may access instructions online.
Where else can I go to use a computer if CST Media's lab is full?
A state of the art collaborative lab, Cox Hall Computing Lab, is located on the second floor of Cox Hall and Emory's Center for Interactive Teaching (ECIT), on the second floor of Woodruff Library, provides training and support for creating technology-enhanced materials. In addition, there is a lab is available in Pitts Library on the third floor as well as more than 80 kiosks across the campus. They're located in the CST building floors 2-5, Brooks Commons of Cannon Chapel, Dobbs University Center, White Hall, and Woodruff Library to name a few.
