Audio/Visual Services
CST Media provides:
- audiovisual equipment and services for classroom support, chapel services and other special events within Candler School of Theology
- setup and support of the Cannon Chapel sound system and microphone placement for university worship services and other events scheduled in the chapel
- theater lights and theatrical production assistance
- audio playback through the Cannon Chapel sound system
- production services, including video and audio recordings
- smart classroom support
- student rental of digital camcorders
- media duplication and transfer
Rate Structure for Charges
- Direct Course Support. Faculty and others teaching Candler School of Theology (CST) classes for degree or certificate programs may request onsite CST Media services during regular business hours and during evenings and weekends, free of charge. An onsite technician for evenings and weekends is available with 48 hours notice, for a fee.
- Candler faculty, staff, and student organizations may request CST Media services during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 4:00p) with 48 hours notice, free of charge. These groups may request CST Media services during evenings and weekends with 48 hours notice, for a fee.
- Non-Candler Emory units and non-Emory organizations may request CST Media services with 48 hours notice, for a fee.
- Candler Faculty, Staff, and Students may request a master copy of any recorded or duplicated media, that is not available on Emory iTunes U, for personal or educational use. This service is offered free of charge, subject to copyright restrictions. Additional copies are available for $3.00 each.
Requesting Services
Requests for daytime support must be made at least 48 hours in advance to ensure that equipment will be available. For evening or weekend events, we require one week's notice. While we will try to accommodate all requests for reservations received, we cannot guarantee availability of equipment or personnel if given shorter notice.

Equipment Rental
We currently have four mini-DV camcorders which record to mini-DV tape. These are available for check-out for student projects. A deposit of $20.00 is required at the time of check out which will be returned if equipment is brought back on time and without damages. Students are responsible to cover costs for loss or any damages incurred. Our staff is available to provide instruction in the use of the camera, and there is also a video tutorial available (requires free QuickTime plugin).
