The Candler Centennial in Story and Prophecy

The Centennial celebration is designed to showcase Candler's contributions to theological education and to the church during the past 100 years; its role within and contribution to Emory University during the past 100 years; its vision for addressing the challenges and opportunities facing theology in the 21st century; the excellence of Candler's faculty and its commitment to Candler's core values; and the accomplishments of Candler's alumni and friends/donors.

Luke Timothy Johnson, Robert W. Woodruff Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins, serves as Chair of the Centennial, and April L. Bogle, co-director of the Office of Communications, is the director of the Centennial. Mathew Pinson, assistant dean of Development and Alumni Relations, leads the Fall Celebration planning and Johnson leads the Spring Academic Conference planning.
