Women who study at Candler School of Theology are creating new, diverse, and sacred paths in ministry. The Candler Program for Women in Theology and Ministry seeks to serve and support Candler women and alumnae and their communities in these journeys. The program focuses on four areas; support for all women studies, equipping women for the transition to parish ministry, curriculum issues related to gender, and international and ecumenical relationship.
The Alumnae Council is composed of women graduates of Candler School of Theology, supports the Program for Women in Theology and Ministry by advising about needs of women in parish and other ministries and about how Candler can offer women the best education for ministry, by developing resources for the program, and by serving as liaisons between Candler and women in ministry.
The Laywomen's Luncheons are bimonthly events for laywomen leaders on the theme of women, faith, and leadership. The luncheon features presentations by women faculty and other women leaders and provide opportunities for support and networking.
